Recurrent Temporomandibular Joint Dislocation Due to Antiemetic Induced Acute Dystonia: A Case Report

Introduction: Drug-induced acute dystonic reaction is a common presentation to emergency department. Oromandibular dystonia one of the focal dystonias, which can be presented as jaw clenching, opening or deviation and leads impaired speech swallowing. In this paper, we an adult patient with recurrent temporomandibular joint dislocation due metoclopramide use.
 Case Report: A 21-year-old female came department complaints inability chew swallow, difficulty in speaking, pain at right region that started few hours ago. On physical examination, she was having mandibular left posterior servikal no other parts body. The diagnosed metoclopramide-induced dystonia. She treated intravenous anticholinergic.
 Conclusion: Metoclopramide antiemetic drug cause serious adverse events such reaction. Among these side effects are oromandibular may lead TMJ dislocation. Physicians healthcare professionals working should familiar effects.
